The result was predictable and just as you say.
What was our opener?

What was the Company’s opener?

You can read ours for yourself. It lacked focus and a basic grasp of math and reality.

As you know management chose to respond exactly as expected when presented with an overreaching Christmas wishlist - they gave the bare minimum effort and ran the clock.

Look, I want a pony too but could see it wasn’t going to happen. Some still haven’t gotten that message yet.

What else would you expect management to do? The alternative for the union is to roll up their sleeves 6 months early and full court press TA1.

Did you happen to read the response from the Union?

Where has trip7 been??

What did you want, the union to publicize the company’s business plan for them? Do you know for a fact they haven’t been in discussions with management about dealing with this?

The company announced the plan today and the MEC chair sent a letter this evening. You’re right, disturbing.

All I saw in the letter was we will help the company but it’s going to cost them big. The company may not view it as help. I think the bottom of the seniority list is going to be thrown to the wolves if this thing lasts through the summer. Lets hope it burns out fast!

Agreed.

The company has to be cognizant of the fact this MEC represents the literal demographic who had their job protections traded during the bargaining of bankruptcy credits. Also, the company has been bragging not only about how much money it has made but how resilient the network it has created with multiple JV partners is.

Our experience has been that Delta has not fairly balanced growth in the network it administers. The company should not expect any relief which allows us to shrink at a greater rate, after we have been growing (stagnating) at a lower rate relative to the companies Delta has partnered with.

Looking forward to being on the other side of this problem.

Bingo. The company is going to have to come to the realization that they are going to have to move a good bit to make us feel like moving after their behavior in recent years.

Sailing's absolutely stupid assertion that we could have had a contract by now shows a significant disconnect with reality (among a pile of other claims... deadhead, SILS, and so on and so forth...)
