Thankfully masks are optional on the flight deck.

Define covid denier. This reminds of the driving mentality; anyone driving faster than me is nuts, and reckless, anyone driving slower is an old grandma. For example some people space greater than 6 feet, double triple, that distance take more precautions than CDC recommended. Should you be shunned for not keeping up with them?

Edit....European schools still sending kids to school ..are they deniers too??

So “flattening the curve” was never really the goal?

Hah, you're going to stand on that statement given that these states, counties and cities are making decisions based on low quality data? We now know that AZ,TX and FL numbers are inflated. Both cases and deaths. Luckily Dr Carson's agency is now the keeper. Funny you seem to forget CA and NY. They kept shutdown, masked up and aren't doing the schools either.

Europe did their homework in that they know child-child transmission is about zero. Further, children have no issues if they even get the bug.

I don't believe closing schools for the fall is being done for reasonable health concerns.

The impacts, economically and mentally, on families with working parents is going to be large. One parent will have to stop working. I know some in my neighborhood that hire tutors. Some of the moms around here are going to start their own "school". There are protests planned at the school board.

We've had 2 suicides of children under 17 in our community - both within the last 36 days. That's more than normal. What I want to see is an anxiety and depression index. These actions, unwarranted and unfounded, by our states for the sake of "muh health" are going to cause long term emotional and psychological damage to our children.

Lol, Europe did their homework...go look at their at their deaths/1M population. Currently, 6 European countries are doing worse than we are doing, with a few others not far behind us.

What are you trying to prove? That is total deaths over the course of the pandemic. Europe got hit harder earlier. We already know that. Right now Florida has more new cases per day than the entire EU.
