"As long as it takes" will mean a global economic meltdown.

Isolate the most vulnerable, let the remaining sheep go to their safety camps and let the rest of society get on with their lives.

In the absence of leadership on a national level, we're not going to know. Everyone has their own plan. We need one plan, one voice to lead. Not there.

Unfortunately you're right about the meltdown. Come to Madrid and we can talk about sheep.

You're not getting it yet, but I'm afraid you will soon.

I think I am "getting it" and you are the one that is not.

Set up camps with tall electric fences with razor wire and towers and let the sheep who want to be safe voluntarily live in them for years while the rest of society carries on.

A global depression, that will likely lead to another world war because of it, is an insane over reaction to a society of soft spoiled authority worshipers. No lock down of any kind will fix this and will directly cause things to be much, much worse and for much longer.

Who is vulnerable? Everyone over 50? Anyone who vapes/smokes. Asthma and respiratory issues?

Even if they had verifiable criteria to apply its probably adding up to maybe 70 million vulnerable people.

Even if we were able to do this....in the remaining 250 million there are still going to be outlier severe cases. What happens then? Even at 1% its potentially another 25000 dead.

Plus there is no way to insure an impenetrable firewall between the vulnerable and everybody else.

Exactly. So plunging the planet into a martial law global depression to stop what we cannot stop is the "plan"?

Go to your camp and let the rest of us live our lives.

You do you bro. I hope it doesn't touch you or your loved ones. Carry on

I'm doing everything to avoid it that I can and so are everyone in the family especially the demographically vulnerable.

But a global meltdown and massive, absolutely massive, depression (best case) over this, and likely a world at war, is not worth the cost, including the lives we will eventually lose as a direct result of this.

If even one person has this after the lockdowns end, we have to lock down again. There is no way this is sustainable.

There is no martial law so far. And nobody is stopping anybody from living their lives.

Thete are no domestic air travel restrictions. Those folks NOT showing up on our planes are doing exactly what you are asking for.

They are living their lives.....and deciding to not fly.

There were 48 dead in last 48 hrs in US. We are just in beginning of the curve.

Its possible shortly that number will grow by order of 10. And in a few weeks another order of 10.

When we have 4800 a day dying from this virus you wont need martial law. People are gona lockdown on their own.
