I watched all 3 seasons of True Detectives on HBO, seasons 1 and 3 were phenomenal and if you're on quarantine then may as well kill 10 hours with s2. Ozark S3 won't make it past the end of the week. Apparently Tiger King is the shizzle so that's next on the list.

3,000,000 die every year. Assuming 100k dead number holds, this year it'll be 3,100,000 instead of 3,000,000.

You make a great point! Only 3,000 people died on 9/11. The MSM found a way to milk that one for a LONG time! If only they could figure out a way to harness the earning potential of publicizing natural deaths. As you say, there are millions every year, and my hunch is that won't change any time soon!

The media is inciting the panic. I haven’t heard of any doctors “panicking,” and I would venture to guess that you haven’t *personally* witnessed any doctors panicking, so I assume you heard about some panicking doctors via the media, and then you start repeating the idea that “all the doctors are panicking.” Then people read that, and so on.

This is pure sensationalism. Their intent isn’t to relay facts, but to elicit an emotional response. This further contributes to the panic. If you see through the fluff and read the facts about “all the refrigerated trucks,” you see that New York (far and away the hardest-hit city in America) has implemented an existing plan to deal with deaths happening at a higher-than-normal rate. Definitely not business as usual, but these things happen, and the country is trying to deal with it.

You really are all in on this being a media hoax. Clueless you are.

I usually avoid politics on APC, but is it possible that these refrigerator trucks are in place because there are no funerals being conducted, thus keeping the morgues full? I’m legit curious if that’s having an impact (it must right?)

They get put in position any time a hurricane hits, or other natural disaster.

The one stat not published is the normal daily deaths rate in NYC verses the current rate. I read the normal rate is about 420 deaths per day.

CX500T 04-01-2020 05:34 AM

That's what I found as well.
