Default 65 hrs/month for FA's with CDC risk

DL just announced that all FAs who "self-identify" as "high risk" according to CDC guidelines will be granted leaves and paid 65 hours per month through June 30, possibly longer. Among the high risk factors are Obesity (BMI 40+) Smoking or Asthma..

So, wear whatever uniform you want, and if you're too old, fat, or a heavy smoker, just stay home and we will pay you...

At this point, not offering every pilot who wants a SIL is just a straight up insult. Zero credibility from this management group.

This late night Laughter show keeps getting crazier by the minute. Now we can give the stink eye to the FAs... but only the big-boned ones and heavy breathers. Hopefully we can add in anyone who smokes?

Are we sure this isn't a veiled attempt to improve NPS scores?

So I guess we need to raise the SIL value to 65 also. They conveniently leave out that payroll through that time period is being footed by the government so it will probably get some senior mammas to take it that didn’t take a PLOA.

It's not just F/As. All non-cons are included. ACS for example just gets paid 75% of their normal pay.

But yeah...you have a valid argument.

The other airlines are giving FAs and pilots SILs and buyouts also. Our management has decided to go to war with the pilot group. Bring it on!!

Wow, just wow....

I mean really good for them but the optics to pilot group with pulling the SIL's, this will unite the group even more...
