An OAL friend tested negative but his wife tested positive. He was tested a week or so after she was. SNot sure about the false positive or false negative rates with various tests though. The initial batch was pretty bad with that (close to 50% wrong) but I assume they've gotten more accurate.

Are you talking about a COVID test or a COVID Antibody test?

Straight up CCP Virus test. He was well within 6 feet of her for much of that time too...

Just found this on the Quest website.

Will my insurance cover lab testing that I purchase through QuestDirect?“Services purchased through QuestDirect are solely the patient’s financial responsibility and Quest is unable to bill your insurance—including Medicare or Medicaid.”

This test is supposed to be covered per the CARES Act. I’m guessing you just have to use the right channels. Still trying to identify those channels...

Pulled into the parking lot, got in line. It was through a local urgent care clinic. Filled out paperwork and insurance stuff. They did a fingertip blood sample, ran the test and told me I was negative.

I wait on the billing now. We shall see.

The fact that this thread even exists is a real shot in the balls. Everyone should know where to go to get tested and when. Every time there is a COVID press briefing there should be website or phone number or something on the screen so people know what to do. Serious disappointment.

Unless of course, testing is not needed.

“No. We have a great testing system, the best testing system in the world.”

Heard this today. There are some tests that are coming that are better than others. The name was said on CNBC today but I don’t recall. . The advice is to be tested two possibly three times to be sure.
