Default Peach Corps Gate Agents?

If Delta is so short staffed on gate agents that they need other employees to volunteer, why not bring back some of their paid employees? Did they let too many take voluntary leave?

Everyone requesting leave gets to take leave. No exceptions. In light of this, voluntary assistance with check in, boarding, and other processes is being requested on a very limited scale to handle periods where ACS staffing is too light.

You guys cut too far too fast and too deep. Don't make the same mistake with the pilot group.

This thing is going to bounce back much quicker than you thought. You'll have us stuck in concrete shoes as SWA, JB, and a host of other carriers lap up the market share.

Any word from DALPA as to if management has approached them with a plan to replace pilots with Peach Corps volunteers??

I wish you were right. Really.

The data does not show that right now.

I'm aware of present day. We are talking about the customers trying to book on us inJune, July, August, September, October etc and getting nowhere on our reservation system. It's even hanging up on them. Not a good way to fight out of this hole.

Guys are posting about it in other threads. Check out the posts. I gave reservations a call 1 hour ago. Trying to book a flight for my wife to go to PHX. I never got thru. The robot hung up on me - twice! Looking at travel net, the days she has available to travel are over sold. There's only 2 flights a day offered (this is for late June travel). I'm booking here on SWA. Sorry guys.
