Here's why. Because the issue has been fabricated to get you to voluntarily abandon support for police and other institutions. That's what is happening tonight. Millions of people have been influenced to think it is right to tie the hands of police to prevent the injustice you've been convinced exists.
Eric Gardner, Mike Brown, Freddy Gray, Philando Castille, Walter Scott, there are more. They are the black victims of police homicide. They are almost household names. They have each had hundreds of hours of media coverage devoted to their story. But, twice as many white guys get killed by cops than black guys every year. Can you name one? The reason is that those deaths go unreported because if they were reported it would dilute the idea that America's Justice system is racist and illegitimate. A black Harvard professor who believed this narrative did a study but was surprised to find there was no evidence that police shot black men at a higher rate than other races:

If the idea is that American cops are racist, does it make sense that police kill 10 times more white men than black women?
If we insist that every person should be treated the same by police, why do we have national riots over the 2.5 to 1 disparity between black and white males, but the 10 to 1 disparity between males and females is never contemplated or not considered a problem at all? What's the difference?
Here's what happened. People that did not like the American status quo wanted you to believe that America is unjust. They wanted to use racial division to do that. Almost all crime is white on white or black on black. Because the crimes usually happen within communities. The only crime stat that indicates a interracial disparity where black people are over represented as victims is police homicide (all the other data on interracial crime, if anyone thought it was important, is overwhelmingly black on white). Even though the per capita disparity has dramatically improved over the last 50 years, the media choose to cover it like it was happening with increasing frequency. In a country of 330,000,000 only about 1,000 people are killed by police every year. I think about 500 white guys are killed and about 300 black guys are killed. The disparity comes when you realize that there are 6 times greater white population, so the per capita disparity becomes 2.5 to 1.
So, 300 black guys are killed in a country of a 20,000,000 black guys. I think I did the math once and it's more likely to die drowning or getting struck by lightning. Doesn't diminish what happen to George Floyd. He was murdered by a rogue cop that is going to jail for decades. But, spend some time thinking about why this is the issue that it has been the last 10 years, especially in light of much more significant totals of interracial crimes that never get reported at all. You probably wouldn't implicate all black people for the crime committed by one guy. Why would implicate all law enforcement by pointing to the actions of a small number of cops?
For context, there are about 20,000 interracial rapes every year. Rape is a horrible crime. Have you ever heard stats on that? Wonder why? I'm not saying it's important, but you should start wondering why you are only getting the kinds of information that has led many to think that what is happening tonight is understandable. It's not. It's manufactured for the purpose of destroying our institutions to replace them with something else. I don't believe the 'something else' will be better than what we (all of us) have had in the U.S. up to now.
P.S. This is interesting. It's 2016 info, but the Guardian in the U.K. highlights every U.S. police homicide. What's great about it is it shows a picture and brief description of each incident. Look through all the victims and read the descriptions and let me know if those victims match the narrative you have been led to believe by MSM in the U.S.

Maybe it's time to just listen to each other instead of insisting on being right, beforehand.

Somehow 1 election alters 100 preceeding years of democrat oppression in the south? Of jim crow and the klan?
using that logic....the germans were absolved of their nazi history with the election of willy brant that same year i guess.
I was alive for the election in 64.
And the Watts riots down the street from us a year later.
Another case of a democrat mayor. A democrat govenor. Police brutality. And resulting riots and destruction.
Sound familiar?
So you see...its not some link out of brittanica for me.
NYC riots 1964. Police brutality. Drmocrat mayor.
LA 1965..police brutality. Democrat mayor
chicago 1966. Democrat mayor.
Detroit 1967. Democrat mayor.
1992 LA..again. Police brutality. Democrat mayor.
Minneapolis 2020.....police brutality...Democrat mayor.
Are you getting the picture?

Progressive Democrat policies.
The clinton crime bill on one end, and the planned parenthood abortion factory on the other.

Impossible due the nature of man?
So then, due to the nature of man, those same police will occasionally go too far( especially when there are 800,000 law enforcement agents in America)
Or, you can just let rioters run amok, that seems to be working pretty well as far as reducing police brutality. No engagement.... no volatile confrontations!
I will say, at least all these mayors, where they are having civil unrest, stand by their principles. During CV19 it was/is.... "if we can save just 1 life, keep it locked down, economic costs be dammed".......now the mantra during civil unrest is(you guessed it...."if we can save just 1 life, don't engage let em loot, economic costs be dammed"
It is either a double dose of stoopid or shear genius.....I'll let the reader decide

Just throwing this out here, as some don’t seem to actually know what socialism is.

You should try reading, Hofstadter, Beard, etc, the great historians of the gilded age/progressive era. When progressives make a mistake, they simply shrug it off as, "not real (insert political idealogy here)".

But you didn't answer the question. What evidence do you have to support what amounts to yet another unfounded conspiracy?

So the point is, “evidence” is not necessarily required to shape one’s beliefs
There is no evidence that George Floyd died of asphyxiation or trauma to the neck......does that matter? Does it change anything?
