Default First Delta A220-300 test flight

At least some positive news amid all of the craziness:

https://simpleflying.com/first-us-a220-flight/

Wish Airbus and Delta could speed-up some of these deliveries with all of the MD88/90 grounded - only 6 A220-300s to be delivered this year?

Will be interesting to see how the 300s are deployed.

I fail to see this a positive. Just a test flight.
Last time I checked our orders are deferred UFN.

Really? The MD88/90s were dinosaurs that had to go. Efficient replacements like the A220-300 are closer to being introduced into the system. Sounds positive to me. The A220-100s appear to be actively used during this slowdown due to their efficiency and I would expect the bigger 300s will be integrated as soon as they are available since they offer even better CASM. Time will tell.

So on more important matters.. Why is it the -300? Does it carry 300 pax?

And what happened to the -200?

This aviation stuff is so confusing.

The 737-900 doesn't carry 900 people, but its almost 900 feet long. I think you're on to something.

If it isn't gonna keep 2327 pilots from getting the axe, it's not good news.
