Not always. One can be displaced to same equipment...in a different base.

Deadzoners are not the only ones who lost out in their career so quit acting like they are the victims
Deadzoners didn't get 5 more years at the top of the food chain. They got 5 years stagnated in junior positions, with huge cuts in pay, and a miniscule DC percentage, or furloughed. Do you think the majority are happy about working five more years to end up with a reduced retirement?

Having some kind of supplemental DB plan would benefit everyone, not just DZs.

Point taken. But 3,000 out of 7,000 were base transfers?

IDK. Some but not all i suppose.

The other mitigation of training will be from pilots impacted by the severance package......and furlough.

Many pilots were displaced to UNA status. Many pilots were displaced to different bases but remain on the same equipment. Many pilots were displaced but will retire without being trained. The company posted that the bid generated 3800 training events and I understand that has been further reduced by the decision not to train pilots with near term retirements and updates to UNA status conversion timeframes.

Understood. Thanks.

My original point is that if they can handle 3,000 training events they should be able to backfill anyone who wants an EO by Jan 2021.

BS has stated on SkyHub that there's approximately 3800 training events as a result of this AE which does not, as I understand it, include the retraining from bringing pilots out of UNA.

There will be a recasting of staffing once the severance awardee.numbers are final.

And then again after the follow on agreement on productivity adjustments.

So its probably not worth losing sleep.over things right now.

I agree.
He definitely won't be getting a Christmas card this year.
