Yes. Once the load gets to 60%, no non-revs. Seems that not all gate agents are 100% on executing this and their tools are still in development, but that’s the policy as I understand it.

Thanks. Any idea how long that is supposed to last? We (United) have lifted the restriction and I understand AA has as well. Thinking of taking the kids to see family but want to make sure I understand what the loads are actually showing. I appreciate the help.

through September 30th and they have hinted that it will continue past that date Aswell

Indefinitely. Right now the 60% is until Sept 30th. But EB had said that will continue. Whether it remains 60% or just blocked middle seats remains to be seen.

It's the same restrictions whether it's non rev or rev passengers, correct?
There are charts on deltanet where you can see what each airplane is allowed to carry. Still confused the heck out of me when I was non reving last month, but it was something

60% is a hard policy limit for non revs. They should not board NRSA pax after 60%. The agents can work slightly above that (66% maybe?) with families sitting across middle seats and such. Once they get to that higher limit they start buying folks as if the plane was overbooked. But there should be 0 NRSA boarded above 60% as I understand the policy.

This table has been the guide that I’ve used the most to figure out available seats. Even while traveling with just my wife, I have found myself in the cockpit jumpseat more often than not so that she could get the last seat in the cabin, jumping past multiple family groups that couldn’t send just one passenger on that leg. May the odds be ever in your favor.
