Apologies if this has already been addressed, I'm too lazy to read the entire thread. Incorrect...119 of the remaining 369 dispatchers received WARN notices for 01Oct. Between the 97 who took the ERP's and the 119 on the hook, that's FOURTY SIX PERCENT of the seniority list that existed pre-COVID gone or facing being gone. And to boot the company want's a 25% hour reduction (ready ALV) for furlough protection through the end of the year, not June of '21.

So there's that.

Will be interesting when there’s a WX event and CAs have to use their authority to divert while waiting for dispatch forever.

Dispatchers are as or more important than pilots.

I agree, although I think the agreement will be the CARES Act part II. I don’t think management and the union will come to an agreement to save furloughs. My guess is that the extension passes both chambers of Congress, UNAs get a 6 month reprieve, and both management and ALPA claim credit for a job well done...

Doubtful. If two airlines can do it so can others. No need for more bailout money.

I still send my letters daily.

It’s got majority support in the House:

All I’m saying is that I believe this has higher odds of passing than the odds that DALPA and management come to an agreement to save UNAs. I suspect that the VEOP is as good as it gets.

JL actually tried to answer the 220/UNA/October Situation by stating it could impact operations but then mentioned reinstatement rights, another AE, and working with ALPA, while using the PWA. Not verbatim but the whole gist was “we see the mountain visually, thinking about our path”.

“People over profits....”. Wonder if the 2558 agree that EB is doing that.

He's an an accountant by trade. Flight ops is run by a Jet base guy. There's a lack of communication. Neither one of those guys know our job or how we got here. That's a problem.

JL is here to conduct negotiations with DALPA. He's never flown an all-nighter to ATL, had to try to sleep with protesters, riots, flash-bangs for a couple hours..and then fly to AUS same day for the same crap on another short layover. Hes here for one purpose. It's all part of the game..dont be insulted by his rhetoric, it's to be expected. Stay focused, stay safe..and support your MEC..
