that’s a fair point, but do you think the pull down language offsets this? If the company decides to furlough the 220 or this loa has a huge take rate and people are not brought back the union can waive the BS flag and threaten to pull down the LOA. I can agree I wish It did have metrics, just like I wish the VEOP had metrics. That still saved ~600 from unemployment

What is the pull down metric? What did the reps agree on with regard to the pull down language? Altering the PWA with no metrics and ambiguity? 600 now, you’re making that up.

I understand that. However, the VEOP had no metrics either. I haven't heard anyone protesting the company, saying more should have been saved based on the 1800 leaving. However, I know the 600 saved are very happy to be saved. I guess the big question to ask, if one doesn't find any benefit to themselves for any of the Vol. measures. Do you think keeping 220 of your colleagues employed through the holidays is a benefit?

huh? I’m legit confused by your post. The union can pull down LOA 20-03 with 30 days notice. That’s in the loa, the 600 was referring to the VEOP mentioned in the previous sentence. I believe the exact number was 617 but I’m not positive. What exactly in that post was I making up?

Ok, get the 600. I’ve seen what ambiguity in our past contracts have resulted in. I don’t vote on PWA changes that don’t have metrics and have numerous “at discretions”.

What we get is managements discretion, except for I believe the USERRA MLOA piece. They don't have to offer anything, and they have to accept/approve what is offered and bid on by the group. Even if offered, doesn't mean they will approve. This LOA leaves everything to the kompany. That is why I get hung up "at discretion of..."

Words have meaning with this management group. We saw that with SILs from the April debacle. Lets not fall for it again.

Maybe the kompany could have saved 1500 pilots from furlough from the VEOP, but rather told us only 600? Pocket the cost savings on the rest - maybe that is why no metrics are given? Management has a cost item for everything.

yeah, BFD, we get a pull down option. How about we just not exercise it and toss this LOA into the heap and start over. They are not even trying to work with us.

Please don't furlough shame me either, it doesn't work.

I guess you may want to consider what if the 2558 was an over reach? A number to work back from. Every time the union agrees to something we get paid back in "yo be" furloughed pilots up to a point.

Someday we'll know what the real plan was, but the company seems pretty fickle on what matters to them. I understand I'm being suspicious but i think its a reasonable assumption some of the 2558 were inflated estimates as are the 1721 remainders.
