okay everyone, on the vaccine track here...
I got vaccinated a couple days ago. Got the Janssen vaccine. Got poked, waited around Safeway for about 10 minutes, then skedaddled. Very sore arm; I blame the poke. I've had flu shots that really hurt and others I never felt. So take that for what you will.
Throughout the day, I felt just a tad off. My stomach felt like it was churning, I did feel some random aches in places like my back, my legs, and my shoulders. I slept fine that night; woke up in the morning and felt what could be the equivalent of a very mild flu. Felt hot, then super cold. But about 26 hours after getting the vaccine, felt totally fine.
I now am pretty much flaunting the mask "policies" in grocery stores, Target, wherever I can. Someone did ask me to mask up, and I told them I was vaccinated. They said nothing more and moved on.

Understand you got poked, but doesn't it take about 2 weeks to be "vaccinated"? Not that I really GAS, but drinking coffee with my wife she was reading about a vax that my dad had gotten that takes 2 weeks for full immunity. Or is that because you got the Janssen?

I concur about the sore arm, achey neck and back, and just overall odd feeling for the post 48-72 hrs (J&J) The bright side is that it proved to be the perfect opportunity to use the special english version of acetaminophen. Ahhh, the wonders one can get otc in other countries!

I'm done. I'm going to live my life, without the mask as often as I can. I don't care; judge me all you want. And if you're that concerned about grandma, maybe take her to church and pray for the afterlife.

my dad mentioned the same thing to me, so I guess technically I'm not safe yet. But at this point, a year into this mess, I'm done caring. I shut down a year of my life, sacrificing a lot, and never mind the mental health aspect of it all.

I’m not worried about the coffee as much as the ice. on the RJ I once witnessed a ramper spreading the ice out in the drawer with his hands...while wearing the lav service gloves.
George Carlin had the right idea though:
