I'm not indulging your tired, asinine circular logic. There's a huge difference between your examples and mine and you know it. Go argue with JB and KN.

Of course there isn't. There is no special skill required to be a CA here. It's merely waiting your place in line for 95% of pilots. Stolen valor is reserved people who pretend to be wounded veterans.

Assuming she never trained or flew, I think what she is doing is dumb and ridiculous. It's lying and deceitful.. It's not stolen valor.

Agreed, it’s completely lame, but not stolen valor.

I disagree with you on all fronts. It does take special skill to be a Captain at Delta. It also takes waiting in line for your turn. Please stop degrading our profession.

Also this is the Wikipedia definition of stolen valor:

Stolen valor is an American term for the behavior of military impostors: individuals who lie about their military service.

Nothing to do with being wounded.

I gave an example of what someone who was commiting stolen valor would do. That's a subset of stolen valor cases. So you agree with me on that..

And no. It does not take a special skill. Literally the check rides are almost identical with the exception of lower vis for the CA and they are done in the other seat.

The Collins dictionary says:

If something is reservedfor a particular person or purpose, it is kept specially for that person or purpose.

Now you are backing off that and saying it was just an example? Please quit while you are behind.

Please, please read the court documents, specifically the Decision(118 pages found on the Law Firms web site). Although she won, it is clear that they did not go after her bc she submitted a safety report. She was given an audience to discuss her concerns and some were acted on. They had her put in the S15 process after a history of inappropriate conduct, repeated warnings, and FINALLY an interview with a Non-HR person(huge blunder) where she came off as a conspiracy theorist who was in tears and concerned(wrongly) for her physical safety. She came off as nuts to a non-qualified female employee(see huge blunder above). The basis of that interview was the spark that lit the S15 process.

The reason she won was bc of this question: If she had never submitted her safety concerns would she have ended up in the S15 process? The answer is no. That is why she won. But that doesn't mean the report WAS the reason. Just that it was one hole in the swiss cheese that led to it.

Did Delta mess up? Yup. Did KP? Yup.

I'm not backing off. I was giving a safe example. What I was intending to say was it was reserved for people who do things like pretend to be wounded veterans. I started to make a list but had to tend to the stove. I didn't have time to go back and look and I didn't edit. I'm sorry my example was too specific thus making it, for whatever reason, wrong in your head.

Stolen valor is a joke, right? What valor? If she earned a type rating in an air liner at Delta she is able to be a Delta captain. Obviously she emphasizes the facts for her own advantage but stolen valor, LOL. All it takes to be a Delta captain is a job offer and a checkride. Those are not trivial qualifications and nobody is belittling the profession.
