Paper Releases
So thinking about cost savings and general waste of resources, how soon are we getting rid of the paper release/flight plan? Getting tired of answering questions about why we still use dot matrix printers at the gate.

Unless the Okidata printers start breaking or we run out of paper, I give it another 5 years.

FAA > Focus Group > Tiger Team > Checkairmen in a sim > FAA > Focus Group > Tiger Team > Surface to keep Microsoft happy because SEA (wait big mistake. Lets double down for a few years and go with the Surface 2 wait, sunk cost fallacy. Lets do what every other airline in the world does and go with the iPad but first) > Focus Group > Tiger Team > Checkairmen in the sim > But what if > Tiger Team > But we still have a warehouse full of North receipt printer paper that no one wants > COVID > cost savings.

Delta is your wealthy uncle who drives a 17 year old
Cadillac. Hes not selling it because it still runs. He can afford a new one, but part of the reason he is wealthy is because he is still driving that damn car. I plan on stuffing the paper flight plan and weather update into a grey bag on my retirement flight a couple decades from now. Im just surprised it wont be on the mad dog.
