pretty sure this has been answered before but just wanted to double check. If the base I want is not offered in the initial class drop, bid the aircraft i want over the base, correct? How quickly can new hires expect to get the base they want and would they have to spend a month or 2 in a crash pad for IOE/reserve before getting to their desired base or would they be eligible for the new base by the time they finish training?

Lol, I remember when senior guys laughed at the company when they said they were going to hire 1,000/yr. They said there is no way the company could ever train that many pilots a year. What a crazy time.

Yep, it's worth noting that 1,100 would make it the second highest year when compared to the 2014-2019 era. Ahead of 2017 and behind 2016. We've just had five years of hiring in two years. Insane movement for those 2021 guys.
