It seems to be about 6 weeks lately

I’m wondering how much of this is damage control by 9E looking to stop the attrition vs. actual reality. I have seen multiple recent instances of CJOs going to folks who would fall into this bucket.

Given how DL talks extensively about their hiring needs, if this policy is true, it is extremely shortsighted and petty. It won’t bring folks back from a LCC, and could even solidify their likelihood to remain where they are. The sweet irony is that, for many, LCC + one year penalty box still comes out ahead of the current flow times.

I suppose time will tell if this is attrition control propaganda or policy. Anyone else seeing this in practice?

I left 9E for B6 and currently have a CJO at DL. Lots of other factors to consider on their end I’m sure, but it worked out for me. I know another person who followed an identical path and applied to DL immediately after starting at B6 and is now in class at Delta. I waited 6 months and got a response in a week when I updated my app with my new employer and type. If there is pettiness I haven’t seen it. I’d say that rumor is an attempt to keep to keep pilots on property, or just made up. Like you said, even if it’s true, it is still a quicker path for anyone less than half way up the list at 9E to bail and bet on themself. If they don’t get a call at least they are building seniority at a solid airline.

Average has seemed to be 6 weeks. I know a guy that got his in under 2 and others that took 10, though. All depends on how long they take to verify your background info.

Does anyone know the success rate for the second attempt of the cognitive assessment?

Any idea how long you can expect a class date after getting the “conditionally cleared” email?

Background check email

About how long does it take to get email from "CViS" background check after CJO offer?
I have not received any emails/documents regards to back ground checks.

Thank you in advance.

I never got a conditionally cleared email. Actually, I didn't even get a background check cleared email until after indoc. It is so random.

do you get two cleared emails ? One back ground check email and a PRIA complete email or just the one that states your pre-employment checks have been done?

3 weeks and a day after I uploaded my last requested document to the server I got my class date. No advance emails about anything else. On the last day of indoc I got an email stating my PRIA and background checks were complete. Had a few others in class (earlier this year) get them around then, too. No idea if it was delayed or they just forgot to send them to us. I know my PRIA was sent to my employers within two days of CJO. They sent them back within 2 days of it being requested in the next day air envelopes. YMMV
