Epic rant. He’s definitely a pilot.

Stay away from QR. Broken promises, unilateral mandatory pay cuts, no pay for deadheads, coach class ocean crossing deadheads (standby for first), culture of fear (flight attendant and company narcs), weekly policy changes and conflicting manuals. No sleep, different set of logbooks for pay, schedule, and rest. Rest rules routinely broken, mandatory extensions, expense reports denied, health insurance plans swapped from Allianz to Middle East/Indian inferior plan. Housing poor, arbitrary rule where pilots of same nationality can’t fly together making rotations to homeland hard to bid. Crew meals often round-tripped catered Briyani du jour. Airport hotel overseas layovers, rule you must be within an hour of hotel for reroutes (rule for no alcohol on layovers for reroute protections) Overall a bait-and-switch for most. BEWARE! And look, shiny wide bodies.
