After about 15 months on the 88, my brand new Briggs had to go in for overhaul. The main roller handle was broken and the wheel housing was also messed up. They did service it to as good as new condition at least. At that point I retired the bag to family travel duty and bought the Lw 22 for the 737. It’s heavy, main drawback. I’d try the composite frame next time. You end up lifting that heavy bag from some pretty
awkward positions with a single hand/arm. It will last though.

It won't last. It's a pos. It will fray, frame will bend, handle will start getting stuck, wheels will start jamming, etc. My Kirkland bag has lasted 6 years. I had 3 luggage works bags. The first one lasted 10 years. The next 2 didn't even last 3 years. I've never understood pilot's obsession with that bag. The frame will scratch anything. It's the heaviest bag on the market and it's not even close. Really easy to scratch your car putting it in trunk or backseat. If it's all you ever used, you don't even realize how hard it is on you. I'd recommend any bag except the luggage works. The LW was designed for pulling a heavy flight case which no one uses anymore due to ipads.

Which one would you recommend, then? Which Costco one did you get?

FYI, if you like Tumi, which is an awesome bag and last a whole career we get 40% off on Delta perks. Just type in Tumi in the search bar on the perks website and go shopping...
Helps if you go in the Tumi store at the airport and look around so you know what your looking for online.

That's great. Do you have one you use?

If you haven’t checked out strongbags, I recommend it. I bought one a couple years back to replace a LW bag, and it’s held up well. No issues, and significantly lighter than LW.

Haven’t needed any yet, but they sell replacement parts on their website…no need to drop it off at a crew outfitters.

After seeing the headset thread, I was curious to ask what bags everyone uses for their travels, based on fleet.

It seems that the 737 (no pockets) Stealth 22'' is a good option. But, I have no idea on the others.

What do you all use for your plane?

No need to buy the Stealth with no pockets. Just buy one with pockets but keep them empty. Then the bag will still be useful on your next aircraft.

Seconded. I did way too much maintenance on the lw. When I found myself drilling and tapping new holes I decided to move on. I first bought the strongbags intl size. Used it 10 years and then put on new wheels. Bought the smaller one that fits in any airplane's overhead about 2 years ago. No issues. The handle feels kind of flexy since it telescopes but is really fine. So iIfound it be lighter and cheaper than the lw. Also the durability is equal to or better the lw.

That's a good point. I'm looking for one to be versatile and not limited myself.

Are you talking about the Helix one? Not sure if I'd like that single-pole handle, though the ergonomics might be better.
