Culture? It's like every other places I've worked (military/2 other airlines), a vast majority of people are great, a few are a pain.
I don't live anywhere near PTC (or GA), and I'm not saying you are doing so, but I've never understood why people hate on the golf cart thing so much. That actually sounds pretty dang nice and convenient to me lol. During training last year, I took a drive around to check out various towns and fly-in communities, and PTC seemed like nearly every other burb/town near a city. I don't understand the hate.

I am a north sider (Alpharetta), I don’t hate on the south side because everyone likes something different. Culture is what you make of it. I have flown with a few crazies. But you just manage it. For me this is just a job, when I leave I don’t talk or think about delta. One of the nice things about living in the north side.

I have nothing against Peachtree City guys. I was just ragging them a little. Maybe a little out of jealousy since I'm a commuter. I actually looked into moving there 13 years ago. At the time, there was nothing to do there other than golf and tennis. No ice rink for hockey, no movie theatre, no beach or ocean, etc. I decided I would rather commute and keep my wife happy. Most pilots are easy to work with everywhere. This place is no different.

I factor everyone into 2 categories. Those that live in Peachtree City and those who don't. The ones that live in Peachtree City live, breathe, sleep, and eat the company. The only thing they care about is making as much money as possible. They will drop everything to fly a green slip every single day of the year no matter what is going on at home. Most of these guys end up divorced in the long run. The other group are the non-Peachtree City guys. They are usually more fun to fly with because they actually have hobbies and can have conversations outside of work and politics. Is this what you were looking for?

I'm less worried about the culture of the pilot group at Delta and more concerned about the deteriorating nature of the overall company culture. It seems too much of the time the company is overly focused on things that have nothing to do with being an airline. And the relationship between the pilots, our union and the company has taken a serious turn in the past couple years. Wondering what the road ahead looks like.
