What? So you're saying it's better to not go to an airline with a quick upgrade/growth and living in base, to bottom of Delta commuting, followed by another interview (that you may not get), to bottom of FedEx commuting to back side of the clock flying?
I'm just going to chalk that up to a troll post, because there is no way a rational human being would give that advice.

If my motive was anything other than genuine then I'd tell this person not to go to F9. As that will only get us a contract faster being short staffed with looming growth.

He has 17 years to maximize his lifetime earnings. He needs to be on a widebody yesterday. He can bid WB pretty easily at the airline with the biggest widebody fleet on the planet. Add to that FedEx’s top shelf retirement plan. I’m telling him to take the DAL job so he can experience 121 flying and commuting for good-ish first year pay and good contract which will blow anything F9-NK will ever have out of the water when we get a new one, and he’s in a great place if/when the music stops. You want him to make 60 an hour and live through a SLI/JCBA at the bottom of the list…no thanks.
Next, he thinks he wants to stack all of his flying into one trip and be done, and doesn't like the idea of commuting. While he can stack trips together at DAL, a double dead head to an Asia WB trip each month is exactly what he’s looking for.

The work to pay ratio is much better at FedEx too. Yeh you have to do the back side of the clock stuff when junior but not forever. If your priority is time off AND making a ton of money, FedEx is the no brainer here.

You realize FedEx has 1 year upgrades on the 757 and 5 hrs for the 777 right? How long again is it to upgrade at delta on the 330/350? 25 years? Commuting at FedEx would be much better than delta as well.

What's the good of having an extra million in your retirement account if you're not alive to spend it. Most freight pilots don't live very long past retirement.
