D'oh. You're right.
Still, whats up with the "list rotation, and noop as soon as the list closes"
I hadn't looked at it that close at 0230, but it looks like the CA was rerouted prior to departure on his rotation to fly ATL-ORF, DH back vs a ATL-OMA turn. Hours before the GS went out.
ACE'd it with screen caps because it seems odd.

And in terms of industry, some contracts the reserve pilot immediately reverts to airport standby. At least we don't have that.

Already did right after we finally blocked in, and I was thinking the same as the RR was issued on day 1 of what became a 5 day trip.

I think in the next contract we should simply ban reroutes. If we all stand together on this with just a little help from the weather we can push this airline out of business in just a few years! What a great day that will be!
Wait, if we all refuse every reroute with a fatigue call starting right now we might be able to get it done by Christmas! Christmas off for everyone!

As it stands now we could eliminate all PBS bidding options expect sign in time and date as everything else is very much subject to the whims of the company.

Not if the parking brake is set and you aren't notified. The union via a company-approved communication says that when the parking brake is set and you have not been notified of an assignment, your FDP is over. Period. No exceptions.

Can you cite said communication?
The way I read this for a reserve doing their post flight schedule check they can be assigned more flying on the spot. Not saying I like it, just saying I think it’s kosher.

Yeah. Why don't you just throw out line bidding too. Everyone on reserve would ensure the company's long term survival. You should probably eliminate vacancy bidding too. It's in the best interest of the company to pick the best suited pilots to fly their airplanes, especially the big ones. Oh and while you're at it, you should probably eliminate seniority. Merit based upgrades like the ME3 would ensure only the best pilots who look out for the company's interests first serve as captains.
Who is this guy? Does your management seriously get on here just to troll you guys? Glad they have so much time on their hands.
