Hope you A's didn't like your sept schedule, it looks like they are rerunning all the awards.

Just wondering, how would one figure out if/when awards are being re-run??
Thanks

All the trips were dumped back into open time.

Might be some other reason but it was strange regardless

Did the ever come out of open time? Usually they are there until the Bs are done, then everything is loaded into DBMS.

That would explain the delay on the B.

The As are not being re-run and the Bs were just finished. Draft Bs should post to DeltaNet by the end of the day.

I hear you, Bucking. I do…

No calling in sick. That’s right the f out. Getting it started all has to do with SWP, and relative reserve req vs reserve avail.

Like I said, it chaps me to see A’s doing it. Though PWA legal, I’d like to see the contract change in that department to keep it from happening. It’s abrogating seniority. But that change will likely never happen.

Moving the OOBWS window between 24 and 12 hours before Duty In (aka Long Notice Ladder) would fix most of the problems. A move from 23 O. 4. to 23 N. 6. and remove the "by proffer." The fishing for the f'up is what forces Crew Scheduling to dump them back on Tracking while 2,000 OOB rantallion feast smellers gum up the banquet.

Just looking at trip coverage, OOBWSs are way more rare than GSs. I see more G#>1 than O on the trip coverage which goes to show juniors in base are not available when the assignments are made.

Is this a thing that guys do when they can’t get the base they want? Just curious what advice I should give them. I’m not a commuter so don’t know the schemes.

Definitely a perfectly acceptable strategy. If someone "frowns upon" it, who cares? Anything contractually legal is fair game. Frown all you want while I'm minimizing my commutes and making money using the tools available to me in the PWA.
