I wouldn’t count on a CP being much help. Every time I have called the CP when in a scheduling dispute they’ve been NO help. The last call was after the scheduler said to call the CP for his explanation. The CP was bewildered and said he had no idea about my situation. He said he didn’t have the authority to direct a scheduling change and he would have to defer to scheduling. After explaining my issue with SRH and PWA references he said to just file an ACE report. Seems this is his default and I think he’s happy to try to overwhelm ALPA.

ATL may have better service. I have always been given the, “I’ll have to find out who to call in ATL” excuse. They delay and deflect until you just give up and go the union route.
