Lot of NYC layovers and first wave departures in the ATL bid package. Looks like they shifted it back. Going to be a lot more resilient in the mornings. Maybe someone pulled their head out at the last second.

In other news ATL 73N is over 65% 4+ day trips…great way to blow all your reserves very quickly.
Don’t threaten me with a good time!

Always should have done that. Spreadsheet fiat may say to stuff everything into an NYC base to save on hotels but its always going to be a 90-something percent commuter base that's operationally vulnerable. Overnighting crews in hotels for the pre-dawn raid fleet launch makes way more sense than pretending to stage crews "in base" that will never live there and many of those who do have drive times that require 2-3AM wake ups.

NYC 320 is the same for July. No sign ins before 10. 38% back end. How does this help the company with the schedule?

What do the MEX trips look like now?

So 320A is 100% front side commutable by my definition (10am or later sign in) and about 50% back end with about 25% you might make it, maybe.

My favorite layover (MEX) is gone but Ill take it for the commutable trips.

I live in base, so I’ve never used positive space commuting. Question: If I am dropping my son off at college and need to get home for an early sign in, can I positive space from a place that’s not where I live?

Thanks!

The camp creek buses have just gotten worse when that seemed impossible. Now they exit the airport thru a gate that allows only one bus at a time. A bus pulls in, the gate closes behind them, the front gate opens, the bus exits, the front gate closes, then another bus pulls up for the same procedure. The quickest way out is now going the long way.. Unbelievable.
