Now, if I was an LAX-based pilot, I'd lose my 💩 over that section. Why do NYC pilots get 13 hours between co-terminals? ONT-LAX or SNA-LAX are longer than any NYC co-terminal op.
I may regret this..... but I disagree, counselor. We are SCHEDULED under the PWA. We FLY under PART 117. Once underway, the actual limits even under the PWA extend out to FAR limits. Also, sometimes for deadhead back to base, less than 9 hours might be helpful. For example, when trying to get home for Christmas and deviating isn't an option due oversold flight and all jumpseats taken.

Usually, but not always. The PWA specifies “8 hours behind the door”. 117 mandates 8 hours of uninterrupted rest.

I identify with this exact scenario.

Default Question for Mods

Mods:

Is the TapaTalk app ever going to work again? I can’t even seem to find APC on there anymore? If not, is there another mobile friendly app to replace it? Thx.

FWIW, I don't even bother trying to get on this site with my phone anymore.

Laptop only.

Very bottom left corner of the page has the default style. I change it to mobile when on my phone.

Default Reserve Pay Gurus?

If a reserve has one day on call left and is assigned a one day trip due to release at 1800. Then company extends pilot for two extra days returning the pilot on day 3 via DH. Two extra days were "golden reserve" days as well. Doesn't company owe the extended pilot reroute pay and PB days for those extra two days?

TIA

Happy New Year!

Were you rerouted or was it a delayed operation?

23 S.9. handles the payback days. I think it would have to be an IA, GS or reroute to get them. If it was your original return leg that just got delayed into your x-days, I don't think that is technically a reroute. If they removed a flight from the original rotation and replaced it with another, then you were rerouted.

As for the Golden day issue, tracking doesn't ever see that. 23 L.7. says you would need to notify scheduling of that conflict to prevent them from flying you into a hard no-fly day.

Can I add my name to this? I've greatly enjoyed following all these discussions on Tapatalk (and other groups that have nothing to do with aviation, and still work impeccably).

First the APC forums just "locked up" but at least you could still see the different threads and subforums.

Then when you selected the APC icon there was an error message.

Now APC doesn't appear in Tapatalk at all, and a search function for "Airline Pilot Central" only results in other aviation boards, but not this one.

What gives mods? And if for some reason Tapatalk cannot be accommodated anymore, the question is why? And even if we don't like the answer, we can "move on" but the current status of not working, but mods aren't discussing at all, is a bit frustrating. Life moves on but still....
