Any "Latest & Greatest about Delta?" Part 2

Ah makes sense...keep the union drive at bay.
Since everything in this world is all about me I will go ahead and say it. Who cares? This absolutely does nothing for me unless they modernize Travelnet. This is not a win. My spouse will still make me do all the travel planning and my parents will still constantly bug me about loads. This will have 0 effect on my life. Improving pay transparency on the other hand…
I'll go ahead and 2nd this, though it's much easier to not see the gain when you don't really view non-rev as much of a benefit of the job. It'd give it up for a fist full of unrestricted positive space passes a year (in our contract). At the same time, us getting this is likely a byproduct of pleasing others, so I guess it's a win. But ya, it would be awesome if they could fix our pay at the same time.

"DALPA espresses it's sincere thanks for responding to our unionized pilots overwhelming request for pass rider access in Travelnet. We appreciate Delta's recognition of this important benefit for our union membership".

not even a whiff of a promise to bring it to NBs.
incompetence and indifference rule the day with employee-centric IT.

Dad: "I wanna fly standby (date is 6 months out)
Me: "ok just remind me when we're 3-4 days prior"
Dad: *creates Google calendar reminder that spams my email*
*Asks about loads Everytime we speak and seems to NOT understand the concept of flying standby *
* Continues asking until we're about a week out*
Me: "hey, just looked at loads, looking good so far I think you'll be fine"
Dad: *Total radio silence until the night prior*
Me: "Hey, you want me to list you for that flight tomorrow?"
Dad: "Nah, already bought tickets on (insert LCC)"

Yup. I have a soft ban on my parents nonreving domestic. Absolute nightmare.

72 Miles to JAX, 92 to DAB, 114 to MCO
Refuses to connect in ATL. Which is all the options out of GNV. "It's too hard to connect. I'm elderly (68)"
Mind you she goes on 10+ mile hikes weekly with her dog. Still pretty active for someone her age. I think the real reason she doesn't want to connect is you can't smoke in the ATL airport anymore, because when you still had the smokers lounges, never a peep about connecting via ATL.
Worked for Eastern as a gate agent back in the 70s/80s. Grandma had similar job for PanAm. So she kind of knows nonrev but refuses to acknowledge the world has moved on since 1984. The few times she will even attempt to Nonrev completely ignores my (I work here) or my brothers (Diamond 360 business traveler) advice on how airports have worked, since I don't know, Reagan was president. Like try to nonrev SEA-ATL-JAX the day after thanksgiving, with a zero wiggle room dog boarding plan (neighbors who had mutts flying out next day for a cruise)
Gets ****ed that I can't "use my pull as a Captain" to get her on or better seats.
Christmas, I bought her a ticket JAX-EWR on United. Was cheaper than FCFL or FCFEL on any JAX/DAB/MCO-NYC routing on us.
Last thing I need is getting a call from CPO or RD on a "one of your passriders threw an attitude with gate agent over not putting her on because of who her son is"
