Any "Latest & Greatest about Delta?" Part 2
#9681
I'm curious out of the 17,XXX pilots here, how many of us have NOT had our pay messed up substantially. I'd guess very few. I had a softball reroute and waited, and waited. No update to the time card. Contacted scheduling 2 weeks after the trip because I couldn't take it anymore and had no idea if they were "done" working that trip. Then they added a completely and substantially incorrect pay amount that took another few interactions to straighten out. This wasn't even a tough one. I'm tired of excuses and we seem unable to create change.
I had an old commander that had a smart theory. It was pilots will stay pretty docile unless you mess with their money or their women.

problem is half the group is too lazy to check or pursue any action. The amount of times I talk to people about it and they say “huh weird mines never been wrong” I then ask how do you verify and they say oh I just look at the check and if it makes sense I go about my day. Which is ridiculously stupid but you can only lead a horse to water…

Isn't the point of this whole discussion that the horse should not need water at such frequent intervals or when it could be engaging in more fruitful tasks? Equine mathmatics are not a "thing," anyhow! On similar note, "pilot math" was not coined as a testimony for our breed's fondness of number crunching.

I had a 23m7 recently added to my time card for a trip back in June and still haven’t been paid for it. I submitted a pay inquiry and they said if it was added before the 5th of the month (which it was) it should be paid on the next check. Of course it wasn’t paid on the check for tomorrow. Anyone know how long it takes to get paid once it’s actually added to your time card?

Air India will return five leased Boeing 777-200LRs to Delta Air Lines by March 2026, phasing them out as part of its ongoing fleet renewal strategy. The aircraft, each fitted with Delta’s original cabin product, have played a major role in Air India’s ultra-long-haul operations to North America.

Bring back the 777 category! Or better yet.. maybe this is the aircraft for the “upcoming AUS pilot crew base”

There is a reason they’re unwanted.
