3 months of a handful above or below missing affects you? I gotta say that's some precise seat seniority bidding. How did you know exactly where you would fall? I guess I'm just not that good. Yeah, I can see that argument. I have to squint really hard but I can see it.

If you’re within a pilot or two of the cutoff for holding a line, the cutoff for coverage awards, the cutoff for an extra X day or for getting a holiday off…the difference between adhering to the AE and deviating from it can be noticeable. That has nothing to do with precise bidding, I’m just saying what’s good for an individual and their company side-deal has effects elsewhere.

Until the company starts putting the word out to their favored pilots to bid higher paying categories they will “bypass” them to stay where they are. 4th floor and LCA get raises.
If it’s not universally and consistently available to all pilots it’s not a good deal for the group even if some make our well individually.
