What's your point? Doesn't mean we will get a 12/5/5 retro check. You realize in that scenario the company would have to write a $1.5B check just for retro.

How about you use your head. I'd love to get 12/5/5 in retro, but come on man, let's at least be somewhat realistic.

Give it a rest with the Delta apology tour. Bottom line is these a-holes should have had a contract signed sealed and delivered in 12/31/2019.

Ya know, during our most profitable time. When there were no excuses.

Times have changed and like a typical American you’ve forgotten that. You instead come up with excuses for these sad empty suits who run this place, as opposed to being ****ed off we aren’t on the verge of opening C2024 negotiations a year early.

I am pretty sure 12/31/19 guys would’ve settled for a 20% DC, and a 10/7/7/5 raise. Instead. Here we are.
Appreciate the insults. Regardless, I'll be happy to be wrong on this. Let's revisit if and when we get our new contract and see how close our retro is to 12/5/5.

Well, like man, we deserve that much. And, like man, if we don't get it, it will be because of company apologists like you lowering the bar and selling us out.<sarc>

What did 12/5/5 cost them 12/31/19? Nothing.

Today, it’s got a cost. I’m not interested in being the first contract at Delta with no retro. It sets a terrible precedent going forward. I also don’t think this is something someone should be throwing in peoples faces on a forum. This should be handled by the NC.

I’ll go ahead and say it again. The company had record profits in 2019. Didn’t give us a contract.

Now they are flat out stalling. They owe us money. Pay up.

Pretty simple. This is what’s being offered at ENDEAVOR right now.

Do the math on that for me and report back. They have 15 pilots or so starting every Monday.

● A sign-on bonus up to $40,000 for pilot with previous Part 121 time;
● Longevity pay scale match based on a pilot's number of completed years at a Part 121 carrier;
● Up to $110,000 in retention bonuses at the time of Captain upgrade and in the 24 months after, in exchange for a commitment to remain at Endeavor while you wait the time period to advance to Delta.

Endeavor gets $40,000 after completing one year as a captain.

$30,000 after completing a second year as a captain

That’s $70,000.

Assuming half of their list (2,043 pilots) is a captain over the next 24 months they will pay $70 MILLION in bonuses.

It's a loan repayment from 2020, 2021 and 2022 when the company was underpaying pilots. IDK how our CFO codes it. The total debt due may seem staggering to a W-2 employee, it's a market adjustment to operating expenses for Delta Air Lines. The total retro ask of 12,5,5 is in the 1.5-2B range or 1.5% of our historical annual revenue for three years. Again, the retro ask outlined is repayment of debt incurred by DAL for underpaying pilots in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Expecting 50%+1 of the pilot group to vote accordingly is reasonable.

The other interesting point is when three years of back wages are aggregated, it seems like a massive number. One year at a time is no big deal. Take this concept into your investing, position for inflation and when you look back over a decade you will be amazed. At the risk of going fully off topic, I'll stop here.

So what in your opinion would have been in the zone say 15 Feb 2020?

Serious question.....does it matter? I'm talking about the here and now with the 12/5/5 retro. What we deserve or what the masses on APC, Chit Chat or FB think we deserve doesn't mean it "reasonable" Again, I'll happily be wrong.

*Disclaimer* Not what I am saying we are worth, but since we are talking CPI numbers:

CPI numbers by the MSP FED:
2020 1.2%
2021 4.7%
2022* 8.6%
*An estimate for 2022 is based on the change in the CPI from first quarter 2021 to first quarter 2022.

Many of us are expecting a massive check. I am being realistic, I’m using my head AND my calculator AND my awareness of inflation. Lucky for them, Delta is already charging ticket prices that greatly exceed inflation, so they’ll be just fine when we each eventually get our interest-free loans paid off in full. Just because they’re hoarding your money doesn’t mean the size of the ultimate payoff should reduce your justified demands. Have a little self respect and know the value you have added to this operation since the amendable date!

I get the math you are putting out there and I don't necessarily disagree. I'm just not getting my hopes up for a $150,000 retro check on DOS.
