I'm smelling a tall tale here. As if there aren't any number of lawyers or even politicians who might salivate at the prospect of taking on this case. Heck, DAL couldn't even fire pilots who deserved to be fired for sitting SC in another continent. You think they are going after a pilot who tells them something they don't want to hear on a survey?

Don’t believe it, not even for a second. The greatest problem here is that management just doesn’t care what we have to say. |

I'm tempted to take it because I think they use these numbers for an internal NPS score of some sorts. If they get good scores they will self promote themselves as being employee friendly and having the world's most happy employees.

Don’t believe it, not even for a second. What did her union say? But seriously, it's a lot easier to hit delete. They know we're not happy and they don't care. |

A demotion - a decades old managerial position (a real one: hire/fire authority) taken away WITHOUT LOSS OF PAY, and without clear explanation. Dozens of records on file about what a fantastic boss and engineer she was - from mostly male engineers. But it's been made crystal clear she'll never be given a project to lead. Internal company ethics board reviewed the case - bumped it up to the main HQ ethics board because it was "too hot to handle". That board failed to rule either way either; it just went into the ether. Multiple lawyers consulted. It's going to take years, but this gals career advancement is over. --- As to the Glint survey? Complain about crew meals, hotels, even pay. But there are some things you'd better not put in a purportedly "anonymous" survey. I don't lose any sleep over it. But I don't bother to fill them out, either. Having the appearance of input is a well known control mechanism and safety valve. |
My goodness, what are you guys saying in these surveys that some management type is going to feel the need to “rattle a cage.”
Just because it’s a form you fill out on your own, why wouldn’t you answer in a way that you would if the chief pilot was sitting in front of you. If you can’t express yourself in a critical and yet professional manner then yes don’t fill them out. The internet has made a weird mentality that anything terrible can be said when typing. |
There’s a survey? How much do I get paid for taking it?

This survey is "confidential," but it is not anonymous. If they really don't like your answers, they can find out who you are and rattle your cage.

I don't think the union has ever encouraged us to take this survey... and I think they should explicitly discourage it.
This survey is "confidential," but it is not anonymous. If they really don't like your answers, they can find out who you are and rattle your cage. The survey is all eyewash anyway. They don't give a **** what we think. Has anything changed in flight ops at all over the past few years with "glint" surveys? If anything, flight ops has grown more arrogant and out-of-touch. game gets it. They extended the deadline, which means participation is low. Good. I don't know why we'd do anything more for Delta than fly passengers safely from A to B until we get a contract. And who knows, if Delta keeps it up, we won't even do that during a strike. Anyway...the best form of feedback for the glint survey is to simply not take it. |

Also used this to bring up again how the company's insurance administrator, when I was trying to get a drug on the formulary filled, decided they would only fill it in the 100mg dose and not the 25 I needed, told me to just take the med every 4 days and tell the FAA I take it daily. Yes, told to lie to the FAA by our insurance.. Maybe someone high up will see it THIS time. Also told them I though things when you are "long term sick, but not on disability" are kind of bad at best.. Having to ask permission to nonrev, even if it's to go get cleared to fly faster is kind of crap.. I love being treated like a petulant child when sick.. There is ZERO chance I return to work before thanksgiving, they have paperwork from my surgeon saying such, and yet I have to call NYC and hope someone answers if I want to nonrev. And then there is no guarantee they will approve. Seriously man, my arm is in a sling, I have staples holding my shoulder together, and can't even drive a car.. No I'm not calling out sick so I can go party with my friends, but I want to go to to LAX on days that I bid off, was awarded off, and wouldn't miss a day of work if I was not out sick, but now I have to ask permission. |
