All these improvements combined will improve a few outlier trips, but the vast majority of pilots won't notice much of a difference.

I hope I'm wrong, but I predict the optimizer easily targeting 10hr FDP's, 3hr sits, and 10,12,10 hr overnights.
Sounds like your trips are already pretty good so shouldn’t affect you much.

As far as the optimizer that remains to be seen.
The company can run everything the same and just pay a lot more money or go the opposite way and minimize cost. My guess is somewhere in the middle (probably dependent on category manning and time of
year).

A base would be awesome, at long as it's not in Florida. F that.

To some extent I agree with you, but then again with so many pilots commuting from there I’m sure a FL base would go very senior, boosting everyone’s seniority in the bases they vacate.

According to ALPAs pilot commuting data, we only have about 200 pilots who commute out of South Florida to bases north. But there are close to 600 commuters out of Central Florida area and another 300+ up on the pan handle.

If opening a FL base is an attempt to satisfy commuters, I highly doubt DL will put the base in South Florida. We just don’t have that many commuters in that part of the state.

My commute got exponentially easier after I moved south from the panhandle.

North Florida and the Panhandle I think are the most difficult. Orlando is probably a close 2nd. I don’t know many who complain too much about the commute from south Florida.

Where do you find this data?
