For all you guys saying that it's a good time to be a Delta pilot, check this out: The youngest pilot on our Oct list started two weeks after their 23rd birthday. And she will only be #1 on the list for less than 2 months, because the second youngest, senior to her, was hired just over a month after their 23rd. Their entire professional lives will be at Delta. Dang.
If we do in fact hire 1800 between now through June, we'll be just shy of 18k pilots.

4,800 In 25 years
2,400 In 30 years
850 in 35 years
So new hires probably won’t see area code seniority unless they are hired in their 20s

yeah, things may be moving quickly but those hired today they will have a lot of people senior to them for a long time.

If I just want to switch bases but want to convert after junior, will the company honor that since I don’t need training. Hoping to bid on this AE and convert in Feb or Mar.

As a 2020 hire I should be
7600 after 10 years
4800 after 18 years
2400 after 25 years.
And crack the top 1000 after 29 years.

probably not. It seems like have been converting people who don’t need training all on the same day.

Looks like with 15 SEA330 A’s I will most likely hold SEA330B this AE. Very tempting but I have to go with my logical choice of seniority for my life events (wedding and honeymoon in June). Just hope something doesn’t screw up our WB bids next year following the summer. I’ll be a 10.5 around that time to throw my bid in. Knowing my luck we will extend to 67 and WB A will dry up. Time will tell. Once your number gets called **** starts to get real! Thankfully I’m doing international on ER anyways

Looks like with 15 SEA330 A’s I will most likely hold SEA330B this AE. Very tempting but I have to go with my logical choice of seniority for my life events (wedding and honeymoon in June). ER will have more block hours next year summer than this year summer so it’d make sense to get A’s and B’s now. Especially for the increased augmented trips systemwide. But what do I know. They will probably just redline it again and pump our ALV’s into the mid 80’s for the summers. To be fair they did have quite a lot of openings last couple AE’s for A’s on ER.
