Prepare yourselves… 2023 AEs

If, "we all benefited from the advancement of mandatory retirements from 60 to 65 for most of our careers....", why wouldn't an additional advancement not also benefit all for most of their careers.?
BTW.... not seeing any takers on Trips bet yet. Did I miss a post somewhere?
And also, Cbreezy, if someone threatens you and is saying they are going to rape you, using your logic, that rape was justified because you chose it as opposed to the alternative? Talk about detached from reality and illogical thinking.

Again, I gotta acknowledge and respect a person who puts their money where their thoughts/opinions are. Shows a lot of conviction as opposed to the keyboard warriors. Kudos.

Can you post your suggested matrix on appropriate age to retire vis-a vis mandatory age limitations when factoring in new hire date with age of mandatory retirement.
IOW Should someone who hire on in 1990 retire at age 60...because well....rules
Should someone who hired on in 2001 retire at age 60 because of well....rules
Should someone hired on in 2010 retire at age 65 because of well....rules
Should someone who hired on in 2022 retire at age 65 because of well....rules
Should the only pilots who hire on after the rule change be able to work to age 67
How does this work in your world?

If we could sell back vacation, I’d probably sell some back here and there. But you won’t find me advocating for such a policy and I think it would be detrimental to the masses. I’d vote against it.
At some point you start to realize what quality of life really looks like for yourself and for your loved ones. My opinion is only mine, but helping to elongate the working years of a profession that is (often) inherently unhealthy isn’t something I support. Lucky for me, that opinion greatly outnumbers the reciprocal.

-Utilization on WB reserve is less work than holding a line.
-Unused SC is an extra 1:00 pay, which covers hotel cost for commuters.
-Staffing is better in WB B, providing more blue days and schedule flexibility.
-Holiday pay reduces the coverage awards on holidays.
-Reroutes are a rarity, creating more certainty that you will fly what you expected to fly and finish when you expected to finish.
-Bounces on VA (or MIA) can be used as strategic building blocks for higher QOL (ie less work).
-Reserve QOL creates junior line holder opportunities.
-As the company adds pilots without adding bases, we get even more commuters. The dead last WB line holder has a mostly commutable schedule.

I'll take the opposite position just for fun. WB B will remain above the 2 year mark because:
-Utilization on WB reserve is less work than holding a line.
-Unused SC is an extra 1:00 pay, which covers hotel cost for commuters.

Mine got denied 3 or 4 times. It took over 2 years from the time mine expired to getting it back in the mail. The last year of it I had a lot of pressure from my CPO. At least I kept making progress…😏. After talking with my rep I realized I had no choice but to get it despite feet dragging.

Ha! Just paperwork issues? I can’t imagine mine getting denied unless I mess up paperwork. I have a clean background. My category technically has no China routes at the moment anyways so I’m not as worried about it. I thought it was a hand shake deal. Never knew it was hard to get haha.
Kidding slightly, but only slightly.

Gotcha locked in. We are up to $2k in total bets. One $1k slot left for any challengers

I love how any time any one doesn't enthusiastically wave the flag and support Age 67, you guys crawl out of the woodwork and attack. What a bunch of clowns. So self serving and hypocritical.
I'm no kid. It would benefit me too. But I can see the hypocrisy that we all benefited from the advancement of mandatory retirements at 60 and then 65 for most of our careers, now suddenly you're at the end and you've changed your mind? At least be honest and say what everyone knows. It all about the money and has nothing to do with "fairness" or "health" or anything else.
You knew the mandatory retirement age when you showed up. You guys sit in your echo chambers and convince yourselves that this is a done deal and it's just and everyone wants it and then attack anyone who doesn't agree. Well I'm your peer and I don't want it. I'm sick of the selfishness and robbing from the future generations.
But hey, back to the 2023 AE discussion. I know you guys don't care what I think. I also know the democrat senate doesn't care what you think. I'll be like Trip7 and make a bold prediction. You will not be flying WB international over age 65 within 5 years. Take a screen shot.
Also, there's no way LAX 350 goes junior. What a strange prediction. Maybe DTW, but definitely not LAX.
