Just got a council 66 email.
12/14 meeting agenda includes Consideration of Recall of First Officer Representative/Vice Chair M.C.

That didn’t take long

You didn’t vote for me, so I’m adding your recall to the agenda.

The vote was unanimous. The discourse beforehand and those advocating to not send it to a vote is unknown.

Pretty sure a member in good standing and not a rep has to be the one to request that added to the agenda. But I didn’t stay in a holiday inn express last night.

this is correct. A rep in the council could do that I guess in theory since they are also a member in good standing, but I’ve never heard of a rep requesting recall for another rep in their council.

What about the RUMINT that he was against the recent strike vote?

The strike vote was unanimous so apparently no one was against it. I heard there might have been some discussion about the timing but from what I heard no Reps were against it. But hey lets all stop wearing the lanyard and don our hats - that will really signal our solidarity to the company. :(

Well he voted for it, so I attribute the "he was against it" to the "burn the house down crowd." If I had a vote I wouldn't have voted for him but I don't think the world is ending either. The worst thing we can do now is divide as a Pilot group. If we get a crappy TA - fine, burn the witches, recall the MEC, put cats and dogs in the same kennels etc, but my personal opinion is that its premature to opine that this screws us in the current section 6.

The NC works for the MEC not the chairman. Its been a while since we had a rock star Chairman - they all seem to have ulterior motives to me. IMHO Malone was the best. Never went to National, didn't start a consulting company - just went back to flying the line. How refreshing is that.

If these conversations happened behind closed doors, it's pretty disrespectful for them to be leaked. I want reps who aren't afraid to be a dissenting voice behind closed doors as long as the right decision is eventually made. So maybe he wanted to wait? Maybe he wanted to do it earlier? It's all irrelevant because he eventually voted for it. You know his opponent voted no on? LOA 20-04. Imagine if we had true dissenting voices during the TA1 fiasco.

Start with the quarterly and annual reports. We are about ⅓ of the total employee expenses.
