Get rid of PB days and GS would drop off significantly, so I don't think there would be "more GS for us."

Feel much the same way.
This is not a popular opinion on this board, however. (To be fair, if I had a de facto monopoly on GS and extra days off, I wouldn't want that contract sniping loop to disappear either. ) PB days are a loophole? A monopoly? You do realize this is due to staffing and GSs are by seniority order, right? I guess FO trip buys are a loophole or international FC DHs too because they only apply to a minority. |

Not at all, that's $400M per year, well under even sailings annual guestimate on PWA costs.

What does that mean?

Sounds like we put someone in who will give up PB days to get a deal done.
Darren advocated against TA1. Yes, he was asked to and agreed to be a P2P volunteer. They were the “black shirts” that help spread the word about TA1 in the lounges. When he read the TA and realized it was bad, he actually advocated against it when in the lounges. He was calledl up and asked WTF. He was of course not allowed to be a P2P volunteer after that. |

That’s what social media says. However, here’s the truth:

Why would he have supported anyone but the outgoing NY Capt rep? This is not a good look for him.
but that is definitely an interesting dynamic especially considering that was the tie-breaking vote |

PWA costs are easily available if you look.

What about the RUMINT that he was against the recent strike vote?

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until something solid is put forth. The MEC that jyst voted for him is the same MEC that asked us to vote on strike authorization. Does it makes sense they would want someone to represent them that is in the 1% opposing what they were trying to do?
