So it was pointed out by another commuter that 24DEC-08JAN the flights from where we live(ORF) to NYC (LGA/JFK combined) go from 7 weekday, 4 Saturday and 6 Sunday flights to one. A lone CRJ900. (It's normally a C7/9 and E175 mix)
I've seen flights drawn back over the slow season but never this extreme. A neighbor who is a Diamond 360, is to put it mildly furious that he is down to one flight a day direct, which being around noon, is too late for day 1 and too early to leave last day. So he's now flying AA because they haven't had as dramatic of a cutback. (5 to 4 in the same window)
Anyone else seeing this? I can drive (5-7 hours depending on airport) but this is the worst I've seen it, granted I was out UNA and Mil Leave for peak covid.

I've seen it before but not to this degree, reduced just never a 7 to 1 reduction.
Usually more like 7 to 5 , 4 to 3.
It's not even a 1 off day, its for 2 weeks. Then back to normal. No ramp up or down.

Have you checked the CDC website? Maybe you have a large outbreak of Covid prognosticated and the mayor of Norfolk will be locking down the town...."Be sure to wear your mask and social distance"
