As an alternative to buying $5000 of C-172 flight time, I was considering self-funding one of these ATP-CTP courses to help me get back-in-the-saddle. I assume the recruiters view a LOR from this course about the same as a LOR from a DAL pilot, but in my case it could also help to demonstrate current proficiency in light of my time away from flying? Would it be worth taking the course even though ATP-AMEL is already on my Airman Certificate? Thx!
Personally, no, I think if you’re going to spend the money do it to get current and get hired on flying 121 anywhere.
