If you have a military background, Navy Mutual has some good coverage that may be at a lower price than VGLI and Delta's, depending on your age, etc. Caveat that I haven't died yet, so I don't know how good it actually is. https://www.navymutual.org/

Second this, if you are prior military at all, you cannot beat the Navy Mutual offerings (at least 10yrs ago when I scoured the marketplace and compared), and not only that, they seem to be there to help a widow after a passing with the paperwork required to keep the VA and DOD in the loop.
Shop around for sure.

It’s been years ago, but we got a 20-year policy for me and my wife through ALPA’s product. At the time they were the best prices I could find. They sent a nurse to our house for a 5-min medical evaluation (waist measure, weigh-in, etc) and blood draw at no cost. The evaluation unlocked the cheapest prices and was a non-event.
