Works well until my metal card comes out, then it’s assault.

Another new hire here, coming off an active duty AF retirement and starting indoc in a few weeks. Some great advice on this thread and I greatly appreciate it. One thing I haven't heard, or didn't see mentioned. Is there anything we should be reviewing/studying prior to indoc to be better prepared? Coming from a world of AFIs, regulations, and AFMANs so feel a bit like a fish out of water. Thanks in advance.

No. Come in knowing nothing. Anything you need to know will be taught, and you will be given sufficient time and resources. Don’t waste your time now.

Had the same train of thought coming from another branch with Instructor pilots that loved to stump the chump/ sharpshoot/play f@ck f@ck games, etc.... Relax and just show up to day 1 ready to take it all in, you'll be just fine. The instructors here are great and really want you to succeed. Welcome aboard!

Does Delta still require 100 hours in the last 12 months?

Wow…this thread was a wild ride there for a minute…

My hat is riding on my bag tomorrow…going back on my head on the second I guess. Honestly it was more of a pain to bring it and not wear it.

People have been hired without it, but it gets you more points in your favor if you do. How many? No idea.

I got a CJO earlier this month, and I have a whopping 21.5 hours in the past 12 months. My background is the C-130, around 2000 hours total. The 21.5 hours was all GA, but I tied to make the most of it with lots of XCs and approaches.

Yeah but…Delta has an unwritten super secret requirement of at least 1 Marine per class. If you were the most qualified Marine, you were in.

Secret is out, but DAL must use math for Marines since they brought in 3 of us.
