Not sure if this has been mentioned already but there are a few shortcuts that are available to work with Mission+ on John Bell’s website. They are simple to install and I can vouch for Joe Okasinski’s “Oaknotes” in particular. It does a fantastic job of pulling all the relevant data from the flight plan into one easy to use page. The NOTAMS, MEL, Flt log, Fuel and more are all presented in one easy to use page. It also feeds the flight plan automatically to FD Pro and Widget WX.

Second Oaknotes. The only reason I open Mission+ is to extract data. Try it out. Notams are phenomenal.

Just went to John’s website. It appears that Delta killed Oaknotes. Anyone have some intel?

I guess nothing surprises me about Delta or their IT anymore. The Oaknotes guy should be getting the Chairman’s Club Award for actually advancing technology for Delta completely pro-bono. Meanwhile, a former employee (Curly) gets full access to our seniority list and associated PII to charge for paid subscription services. SMH. Don’t forget to take the Mission+ survey - closing soon! https://dal.alpa.org/Mission-Plus-Survey |

I love oaknotes, and will continue to use it as long as it works. But I do understand why the company pulled the plug. |

The company believes that any shortcut that improves delta data is a violation of the IT policy. That’s why the shortcut that opens the various apps is still available. They also have concerns about the much better usability of a third party process, and since they have widespread knowledge about its use there could potentially be liability if they don’t act to stop it.

I don’t understand. A guy puts his own free time into developing a tool that makes the company’s expensive trash partially useful, makes that tool completely free for any and all to use without registration or even ad-viewing…and then includes a non-obtrusive electronic tip cup for folks (like me) to thank him for his efforts. You’re saying this would be the cause for Delta to have it taken down?

Indeed! But John didn’t make Oaknotes. That guy should be in the club too, well before others who shall remain unnamed.

Joe O. It’s a shame Delta shut it down. I’m sure it’s due to nothing other than being embarrassed and outclassed!
