No, I did not.

You have been espousing the hammers gonna fall come March 1st about the hats. I have not seen it. I will not see it because its made up hyperbole from your perspective and bias. Not reality.

Everyone who prefers a brisk walk through the infernal ATL dungeon vs. ride the sardine tram and fight their way on and off.

That’s an interesting point.

A quick google search suggests that while there are a few carve outs for religious reasons (Sikh turbans, Jewish yarmulkes, Muslim kufis, etc), for the most part it looks like the company would be on firm legal ground enforcing uniform standards. *

Hairstyles and facial hair standards have generally been upheld, for example.

Even if they don’t enforce them uniformly between groups (i.e. pilot group v flight attendants). But within a group, they must be applied equally.

Seems like an incredibly dumb hill to die on, but Maverick all you like, I suppose (gutsiest move I ever saw, etc etc). Be stunning and brave if this is your thing. (In general, not BoatB in particular).

(*) - some other industry cases against uniforms that were OJI related, like long term foot/arch damage caused by high heels, etc.

YOU ARE OUT OF TOUCH and should probably not talk in public.

Everything you tried to equivocate above was/is an injustice. Our uniform is fabric and dye. It is not evil or an injustice. And yes, it works for what we do.
So are you…they weren’t comparing the topics but highlighting social change.

Times change. The uniform is tired and dated. I’m glad you think it works but that’s your opinion and not reality.

Yes, you did. Try going back and rereading it here. I specifically bolded your claim that you will continue wearing your Abbot Jacket next November.

Nope, not what I said.

But I'm not indulging your trolling and agitating any further.

Just finished a trip. Not one word said. I'm usually in the terminal(s) during peak show times for the CPOs (weekdays 9-5ish).

You keep wearing that stupid contraption. I'm not. Serves no purpose. And don't spit out that "Delta brand" BS. We went 8 months without it and NPS didn't take a hit.

Someone made a good point in another thread about our regional feeders (Sky West, Endeavor, Republic) pilots seem to wear quite the combinations from sweaters to trench coats to black to dark blue navy. Some wear hats, I guess those are endeavor pilots??? Others not. Our customers don't seem to care.

Anyway, as they said its the "Delta brand" and they are not marching around in DBJ and funky looking hats (our hats look terrible BTW, really poor choice of manufacturers).

What our customers really care about is getting form A to B, safely, on time with their baggage too. Our surveys clearly convey that FACT.

That is only because CPO was specifically told not to inforce the policy.

I just don’t want you to complain later..
If we are ever properly staffed (prob never on EB watch) they’ll start removing pilots from trips if out of uniform compliance.
That can cost you thousands of dollars.

The properly staffed part is key. I don't see that happening for some time. Removal now would be an effective way to get some QOL back. As someone mentioned earlier it's effectively and APD. CPD, HPD, UPD

I remember during Indoc being shown this video talking about how open the company was because employees were allowed to have visible tattoos but then I immediately went to check the FOM and noticing we are still not allowed to have any visible tattoos. How does something like that get by?

Did anyone else see the mention of a more casual jacket coming in the 3/15 Flt Ops email? Anyone have any inside info on what it will be?

I think it’s a stretch to think what they said will allow lightweight jackets at all. Sounds like political pandering to me, saying something specifically vague and not promising anything.
