Be honest. Were any of us here capable of adequate risk analysis and decision-making at age 19 or 20? Would we want our current families to fly in the back with our 19-20 year-old selves in the cockpit?

That's exactly the point. Age discrimination is a good thing for our industry- from atc, to pilots, to FAs even. There are lots of lives at stake and its good and right to have industry-wide policy limits on our ages (top & bottom). Making moves that increase present risk is irresponsible. Look at the close calls we're having out there! Now's not the time (if there ever was)

How we don't already have that blows my mind! An 80 yr old emptying a 777 in 90 secs is a laughable proposition, no offense!

The senior most FA at UAL, at the time, retired about a decade ago. He was so senior that he had to get a leave of absence from UAL to go fight in the Korean War

Yea, good luck trying to get them to do anything of actual substance other than jacking up interest rates and inflation and sandbagging a certain guy to keep him from running again.

There will come a point in this country (probably sooner than later) where we'll have to choose between making grandparents work, child labor, or extremely loosening immigration laws. Probably a combination of all three. We're not breeding enough to supply the labor force.
