AON Test

You might want to rethink your position. Delta has probably administered over 20,000 of these assessments the past few years. Seems you had problems. Taking it in a hotel lobby? WTF? Problems with audio, problems with camera? WTF? Do you adjust the rudder pedals before flight? Proctor in Pakistan? WTF?
If you were having mechanical/audio problems, why did you continue the assessment? Would you go fly an aircraft with so many maintenance problems without calling maintenance?
Delta wasting resources? Would that be your great aviation skills are being wasted ?
Instead of coming out swinging, and accepting no responsibility, you seem to have a lot of excuses. If I were in the hiring department I would ferret out your assessment and maybe that 90 day follow-up might be a little longer.
I truly hope you are trolling, otherwise I suggest looking inward.

I didn't think I was having a "problem" with it and yes, I am pretty comfortable flying with a bunch of orange stickers. I will say I think it would have been fine to do it on an iPad - which also has in-your-face volume, whereas I was glad for the keyboard & mouse for the AAL one. Definitely recommend earphones for anyone doing this on a PC.
I guess if DAL is filling classes then they're not wasting anything. Proctor in Pakistan, Prussia, or Pennsylvania not pertinent!

OK, so I got a TBNT after doing the assessment. I'm sure I kicked butt on it, so it was either the MMPI portion, or more likely, this: I did it in a hotel lobby and couldn't figure out how to get the camera to catch 100% of my head - only about lips up. For the audio portion, even though I had the volume at 100% and the lobby was quiet, I scrunched over to hear some of the atrocious audio quality. I suppose this could have looked furtive to the proctor in Pakistan🤷. So maybe I should have sat on a yellow pages or something. So glad DAL can waste resources like this.
- it’s worth spending some time practicing with cut-e, RST, etc.
- Take it in the most distraction-free area you can. My family and dogs left the house while I took mine…didn’t even want the chance of a loud noise upstairs making me wonder what a kid or dog just did
- Use headphones; at least personally I find that to be the clearest possible audio (and blocks out distractions)
- The clearances section is not difficult, just have good audio and paper/pen (the audio quality of the test is not an issue, you’re equipment is the problem if you can’t understand)
- I think the video is primarily to validate you’re not cheating, but you should probably still assume someone is watching your emotions/professionalism…getting visually frustrated, making some off color comments under your breath, etc. could hurt you. Have the mindset someone on the DAL interview team is watching
- answer the psych questions with your immediate thought, that’ll be more accurate. Fight the urge to overthink and “game it” by answering what you think “they” want to hear

To be clear, I am referring to the aptitude parts of this thing. Now, the MMPI stuff...! I didn't try to game it at all but I did notice a number of "Gee, sometimes I don't know why I do things" choices. Well, I stayed far away from those bcs I really don't see that as me, nor as a desirable trait for someone sitting in the pointy part of an aeroplane. BUT, I a have an old friend who is a senior WB Captain and that does kinda describe him - off the job, anyway - so maybe that's something they're looking for🙃

Never got it actually. After leaving my delta connection carrier, getting the fix it was almost immediate. From there it was about 4 days to get the aon link.
