Funny because I often get "are you a policeman" questions even with our current uniform.

Actually lots of people care - and most importantly the people that pay you! In addition, look at page 5 of this month’s SEA base newsletter. Right in the middle of the page - PLEASE DON’T WEAR NORTH FACE JACKETS (OR EQUIVALENT) WITH YOUR UNIFORM. So, to reiterate, lots of people care and it is the captain’s job to enforce it. So, appreciate it if you don’t put me in the position of telling you how you need to dress. No need for no fly list. Just do your job that you’re getting paid well into the six figures to do and we will get along great.

Twice I’ve had a FA in my crew sporting a purple Mohawk. You read that right. If mother Delta doesn’t have an issue with a purple Mohawk on an employee that has the MOST customer contact of any group at this company then my FO’s can wear a black Northface to do a walk around. That LCA is an ass.

Right. If they do their job well, who cares what their hair looks like
BTW why do keep calling your former regional a "shop". Been in the biz for a few decades and we stopped using "shop" circa '91. You part of the plumbers union or something? |

Apparently our company does. Point out to us in one onboard video, sky hub, Delta Net home page, the media posters adorning our check in/gate areas/jet birdges etc. where there is a photo of the "purple" mohawk. I'll help you out. None. Management here do care about the "image"

It's summer....you brining the double breasted out of hibernation to wear on the walk arounds so you will be 100% FOM compliant? (Assuming Capt bluejuice71 does walk around on FO legs) Umbrella? Trench Coat? Of you just dong the preflight in your white button down shirt? |

“And I have qualified immunity and enjoy the privileges/remunerative benefits /perks of asset forfeiture.” “Was that more than 3.5 oz of PB&J I saw in your carry on?” |

Serious question....before you leave the house for your next rotation you check the local forecasts and see rain at every airport...what do you do?

Absolutely no Trench coats. I have seen North Face (or similar), and also a black stuff-able waterproof windbreaker. You’ll be fine with one of those as long as you limit it to walk arounds. Don’t get drenched, that’s just stupid. And for heavens sake, don’t wear it in the terminal with your hat.
