I find them comfortable too, honestly. Just wish they were machine washable. Not brave enough yet to do that.

Maybe they'll suddenly fall apart after a few months but I have had no issues machine washing mine (in cold of course).

Along with cold water as pointed out above another trick is washing them in a garment bag. Been machine washing the old pants like that too and they always come out great. After washing, hang to dry, then steam.
