Prepare Yourselves… 2024 AEs

Apr AE Plug
WB A N/A
WB B 125XX, 72.7% (25 total awards, all but 3 on the 330)
NB A 147XX, 85.2% (15 total awards)
I'm not sure how much value added these posts are anymore, but here goes for anyone interested. This was a super small AE (as will be the next 2-3 AE's). The most suprising thing to me is that, despite the small size, the percentages for NB A and WB B remained very in line with current trends. Also interesting that 80% of the 151 awards were simple base changes, the vast majority of which were seat locked NH's.

Interesting notes: The company plug got a base change. In fact, almost exactly half of the awards on this AE were simple Base Changes for Seat Locked pilots, with a great variety of categories awarded to the bottom. About 1/3 of the awards were in categores with no posted vacancies. Further, 12 of the 29 WB B awards were in categories with no posted vacancies (n ATL, NYC, MSP, and SEA). All proving once again, BWYW. You can't get an award for which you have no bid. Someone else will, however.

Monthly AEs are certainly much better but sometimes I miss the chaos and excitement that the MOABs brought.

Yep...I dated someone like that awhile back too. Lots of fun...and lots of scars. I can still see the scars and the memories of the fun keep getting dimmer with time.

I think every pilot hired since 2014 has hit the jackpot. Way better than 15 years to first upgrade and over 20 to reach 50% on seniority like a lot of us pre 9/11 hires.

Agree. My seniority progression here has been much faster than at my regional. If I had to choose where I got amazing movement it's definitely here instead of a regional!
