Scheduling chairman removed

Sure, me too, even more so if they have been 'here' for much/all that time. Just wondering specifically what brings a looooongtime lurker out of the shadows, with 3 rapidfire posts on the same subject.

Here's what I do know. It would be political suicide to fire someone like SK without cause.

I don't know the poster. I know that SK is generally one of the most beloved personalities in the union for those of us who don't work with or for him. Maybe the poster worked within the committee structure. Certainly we aren't going to see nor would I want to see a personal lambasting by anyone within the administration.

Show me where I said he was justified for firing him. That isn't at all what I said. I'm not defending his firing at all.

Not under our system, in which DH is only accountable to the MEC and not the pilot group. Hypothetically, if SK stood up for an issue that was in the best interest of the pilot group, while stepping on the MEC’s toes in the process, then his firing wouldn’t be political suicide.

Word on the street(rumor so don't take as the gospel) is it's a similar situation to what got Scott Kirby kicked outta AA, extremely smart but abrasive to coworkers. If that's the case he still has a bright future just gotta work on the social skills/office CRM a bit

The scheduling chairman was in his position for years though, and personalities generally don’t change overnight. All signs point to a very specific disagreement between him and DH.
