I’ll only accept a helicopter pad at my house if I get to pick the color of the “H” and Delta pays for it. Also, I need the ability to pick when the chopper picks me up, no generic 30 minutes prior or any of that nonsense. I’m also partial to Jet Rangers, so I’ll only accept those for the ride. They’ll do it if they want me to be there.

Jetrangers are for plebes. S-76 or better. And I want some sort of a tax write off for the nuisance of Delta using my property for their convenience.

The noise makes it a non-starter for my family. My line in the sand is Delta has to pay for my second home for this, no further than 0.5-2 miles from my current residence.

at some point, regionals will go back to paying 20 bucks an hour. Do you want to be singing the same tune when that happens?

Typically you don't negotiate down to the worst of every contract. Are you new? Such contempt for regional unions getting huge QOL gains. I figured there would be people looking down their nose at the regionals..

Also, while the current level is unsustainable, regionals are never going back to $20/hr.

Sure, they sound like nice things. Bur Cherry picking contracts comes with issues. We already have a shortcall limit. Sick if needed is nice but we get almost 25 sick hours a month. I think AA gets 5 so they probably place more importance on it.

It's not like the hiring standards at the majors or lcc's have been any better , LOL. Bottom line is if it's not safe then don't come in. Family/safety comes first right ? Isn't that what MGT preaches ?

If anything it will keep going in the upward direction as far as so called "regional" pay and benefits to the point where it will be more economically feasible to just absorb the 76 seat jet flying and it will go back to the way it was from about 1979 ( After the Airline Deregulation Act was signed by Carter) until late 1990's. During that stretch the regionals had no jets and the 70 to 90 seat jets were flown by mainline . Just look at Delta now for example . They are making money hand over fist even though they have taken over 30 percent of regional flying on 717/220 plus paying WO regional pilots 60 percent more plus retention money. They still make billions in profits. Covid just went a few steps further to expose the regional scam for what it is.

I heard in 2021, 2022, and 2023, people on here and elsewhere declaring with certainty that the regional model would collapse by “the end of the year.”

If it hasn’t happened then, it doesn’t look to happen in the future with staffing rapidly catching up at mainline.
