I’ll only accept a helicopter pad at my house if I get to pick the color of the “H” and Delta pays for it. Also, I need the ability to pick when the chopper picks me up, no generic 30 minutes prior or any of that nonsense. I’m also partial to Jet Rangers, so I’ll only accept those for the ride. They’ll do it if they want me to be there.

Also, while the current level is unsustainable, regionals are never going back to $20/hr.

Sure, they sound like nice things. Bur Cherry picking contracts comes with issues. We already have a shortcall limit. Sick if needed is nice but we get almost 25 sick hours a month. I think AA gets 5 so they probably place more importance on it.

It's not like the hiring standards at the majors or lcc's have been any better , LOL. Bottom line is if it's not safe then don't come in. Family/safety comes first right ? Isn't that what MGT preaches ?

Typically you don't negotiate down to the worst of every contract. Are you new? Such contempt for regional unions getting huge QOL gains. I figured there would be people looking down their nose at the regionals..

I heard in 2021, 2022, and 2023, people on here and elsewhere declaring with certainty that the regional model would collapse by “the end of the year.”
If it hasn’t happened then, it doesn’t look to happen in the future with staffing rapidly catching up at mainline.
